When I received a voucher code in one of the various magazines I subscribe to (can’t remember which one), I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try a Love Me Beauty box.
I filled I my profile which was awkward as always because you can’t shoehorn all shades of skin into 6 options. I guess I’m somewhere between medium and deep and I think I chose deep. I then proceeded to my recommendations. They puzzled me as they didn’t seem to match what I had put in my profile. Maybe it was my fault for saying I love everything equally!
Anyway, you don’t have to go with the recommendations. For £10 per month plus P&P you get 60 credits which you can use in the boutique instead. The products I saw were between 10 credits and 20 credits so depending on how you choose, you can receive between three and six products.
I chose three 20-credit items:
Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water
I love micellar water so this was a no-brainer.
Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oils
The only skincare I love more than micellar water is cleansing oil/balm so I had to add this to my basket.
Tangle Teezer Blow-Styling Hairbrush
I bought the Tangle Teezer for thick and curly hair for my son and was quite impressed so I decided to try this brush for myself. Anything to speed up styling time!
One day there was a knock at the door and the postman handed me an ominous looking matte black padded envelope. I like to guess what’s inside my packages before I open them but this time I had no clue. When I opened it, out tumbled the brush and the Caudalie skincare. There was no box and no leaflet, just products! There was also a Love Me Beauty makeup bag which I now know has replaced the boxes.
I’m glad I received the bag as it was one of the options I could have spent my credits on. It’s a really handy size for everyday use so I bring it to work everyday. I’d much rather have the bag than the box.
I like the Love Me Beauty service because I can choose my options and it’s nice to receive a bag instead of boxes for a change. I would however like some product information in the envelope so I don’t have to go online to be reminded of how to use it or what it is. What do you think of Love Me Beauty?
