I posted about these in my makeup nod to the metallics trend for 2015 but I decided each shade should get a post of its own.
Inside the box is a pot of eyeshadow, a liquid primer and a mixing tray. The instructions are quite clear but here’s how I used it: I turned the bottle of primer upside down into the tray so that only one drop of liquid comes out. I then scooped a tiny, tiny bit of eyeshadow up on to my angled brush and mix this into the primer. The eyeshadow is now ready to apply.
I then painted the eyeshadow onto my eyelids one at a time so I can keep one eye closed so the eyeshadow can dry. Once the eyeshadow is dry it does not budge at all – there’s no blending here so it’s best to build the colour slowly and steadily. It gives a crinkly foil effect which really reflects the light.
Magnificent Copper comes out looking perfectly copper – a rich, earthy, rose-gold colour. There is a rose gold shade but I can’t try it due to my epic makeup spending ban. I’d love to see how it compares. It has a dazzling shine, unlike anything I’ve seen before. I feel like I need sunglasses to look at it directly! It’s not glittery, it’s not shimmery, it’s shine at its boldest.
It’s all you need for a daytime colour pop on the eyes without it being “too much”. If you think you need something more subtle, try it on the inner corners of your eyes for a special highlight.
Makeup Revolution Awesome Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow in Magnificent Copper is definitely one of my favourite pieces in my (rather extensive) makeup collection.

Oh my! I’d love to try this product, thanks for sharing this post as I’d never paid this product much attention before.
Can you remember how much it was?

It was one of the first things I bought from Makeup Revolution because I had never seen anything like it. I was curious! It says £4 on the website so that’s probably what I paid. I remember it costing more than the other eyeshadows but I didn’t mind because it looked so unique.

That’s a ridiculously good price for this product, if it’s as good as you say especially.
I bought some pallets from them on a whim and I will say there alright so I will certainly try this as soon as possible.
Did you say it was impossible to blend?

As you have to mix it with the primer which then dries to give it a foil effect, I didn’t think it was possible to blend it in the traditional way. I’m happy for you to prove me wrong! Once dried though, powder eye shadow can be used on top which is what I did.
