This is what I wore to BeautyCon London 2015. This will be a long one – I don’t know how I end up using so many products but I just do!
I applied Benefit the POREfessional primer with my EcoTools foundation brush.
I mixed my No7 Instant Radiance foundation in Deeply Honey with my No7 Stay Perfect foundation in Mocha (because I am in between shades) using my EcoTools foundation brush.
I used the EcoTools brush to test the shade and then dab the foundation all over my face once I was happy.
I blended the foundation using my e.l.f. stippling brush.
I prepared my eyelids for the eyeshadow using my Kiko Eye Base Primer applied with my No7 eyeshadow brush.
I used my Bobbi Brown cream blending brush to apply Benefit Boi-ing concealer in shade 4 under my eyes. I blended it out using my Real Techniques pointed foundation brush.
I wanted to do something a little different with my eyes.
Using my Teez flat stiff brush, I applied the matte yellow shade from my Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 730 (the brights) palette to my eyelids only, stopping at the crease. It didn’t look very bright so I used the same brush to go over it using the matte white shade. I then built up the yellow colour over the top using the same brush.
Using my MAC eye shader brush 239, I then applied the darker matte blue on the eye socket bone, from the inner corner of my eye to the outer corner. I had to be very careful not to let the two colours overlap or they would have given me a green crease, which I did not want. I very gently blended the blue shade out to create the arch shape using the same brush.
Using my e.l.f. eyeshadow ‘C’ brush I applied the yellowest matte shade from the Sleek Au Naturel 601 eyeshadow palette from my brows to the blue arch. I used this shade to perfect the line of the blue arch.
I finished the eyeshadow by putting a little matte white eyeshadow from the Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 pallet into the inner corners of my eyes using MAC pencil brush 219 to give a little pop.
I used my Bare Minerals stiff bristled angled brush to define my brows using my Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Mahogany. I then used L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in medium/dark to comb through my brows and neaten them. To finish the brow area, I used my Real Techniques detailer brush to apply YSL Touch Eclat in shade 5 above and below my brows to perfect the arch and highlight.
I applied my lashes (not pictured but see this post) then lined the areas that the lashes didn’t reach using MAC eyeliner brush 209 and MAC fluidline gel eyeliner in Blacktrack. I also lined over the top of the false eyelashes. I lined my lower waterline using Soap & Glory waterproof eyeliner in Superblack.
I applied one coat of Givenchy Phenomen’eyes mascara to my top lashes only to open up my eyes.
Using my Models Own angled brush and my Sleek Face Form in medium, I applied the darkest colour to the hollows of my cheeks, sides of my forehead and nose and along my chin. I then used the tip of the Models Own angled brush to highlight the tops of my cheekbones and I used the same brush to apply a sweep of the bronzer on the apples of my cheeks to give a little colour. I roughly blended this using the same brush.
I highlighted under my eyes, the middle of my forehead, the bridge of my nose and my cupids bow using Givenchy Mister Light in shade 5 and my Real Techniques pointed foundation brush.
Lips and finishing touches
I wanted to wear natural lips so I shaded in my lips using my Bobbi Brown lip pencil in Cocoa and then applied Bobbi Brown lipstick in Cocoa over the top.
I blended all of the contouring powders one last time using my e.l.f complexion brush and then I applied a very light dusting of Bare Minerals Mineral Veil to my nose to combat shine, using my Real Techniques Duo-fiber face brush.
I set my concealer using the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil and my Real Techniques setting brush.
Finally I set my make-up using the Urban Decay All Nighter Makup Setting Spray.
