The Vichy Pureté 3 in 1 is a cleansing milk, toner and eye make-up remover for sensitive skin. I have dry skin rather than sensitive skin but as I received this in a beauty box, I decided to try it as I really wanted to try some Vichy products.
It has a barely there fragrance – just enough for you sense that there is something there. I usually don’t like fragranced products on my face but this one is just right.
I like cleansing milks and this is great because it has the fluidity of cleansing milk but it is a little thicker than a cleansing milk without being as thick as a cleansing cream.
As for performance, for some reason it takes me ages to get makeup off using a cream cleanser. This is whether I apply the cleanser to the face and wipe off with cotton wool pads, or apply the cleanser to the cotton wool pad and wipe it all on my face in a circular motion. I get through so many cotton wool pads! The Vichy Pureté Thermale is the same – it goes on nice and smoothly, and comes off the same but the process is not particularly quick. I end up rubbing my cheeks a little too hard leaving them feeling tight! It make a valiant effort to remove eye make-up but that takes some rubbing too.
The plus side is that my skin is left feeling baby-soft and smooth once I eventually get all of my make-up off.
As far as cleanser performance is concerned, it’s ok. It is good for travel because there is no need for a separate toner or eye-makeup remover although I would personally try to pack a separate (probably dual-phase) eye make-up remover to get all of the eye make-up off. Despite that, I would probably buy some more of this cleanser because I love how it makes my skin feel, the price is nice (around £11) and I really like the hint of fragrance.
