…lots of fun!
After getting my haircut, I couldn’t wait to play with it to recreate some of my favourite celebrity looks. I whipped out my purple Babyliss Elegance Pro 235 hair straighteners and my Tresemme Heat Defence Sytling Spray and did this:
Straight Lob
I’ve always wanted a straight bob but this is just too much effort on a daily basis. I have to carefully section my hair, pull each section taut then run the straighteners down my hair two or three times. Jourdan Dunn’s looks spectacular-I think it’s the colour that makes it so perfect. I didn’t get the colour but I got the shape which is good enough to start off with!

Smooth Curls Lob
Another look inspired by Jourdan. I created the curls using the straighteners by wrapping a section of hair once around one of the plates, closing the straighteners and pulling the straighteners down to the tips of my hair. It’s similar to curling a ribbon with a pair of scissors. I need a bit more practice with this technique but I really like the look. Plus, it’s much easier to do on short hair.

Shaggy Lob
I used to wear my hair in this messy-but-done style when it was much longer. Rather than force my hair to go straight, I would roughly section my hair, gently pull each section straight then run the straighteners down my hair from root to tip. If I was in a hurry, I wouldn’t even pull my hair, I would just run the straighteners through my hair. It gives a smooth but textured effect, is quick and easy to do and it fun to wear. In the picture I had to go from Smooth Curls Lob to Shaggy Lob so I had to add some kinks in by randomly taking sections of hair about a third of the way from the roots and either folding it and clamping the straighteners on for a couple of seconds or doing a mini curl by curling the hair to only one third down.

At the moment, Shaggy Lob is my favourite. Which is yours?
