I’m mentioning Avon, Orly and the Natural Collection together as I don’t have enough to call them a collection within their own brands.
Avon
I only have two Avon polishes and I think I have had these for about 10 years but somehow they look fine!
These were limited edition mirror shine polishes and yes, they really do shine well, more like foil than a mirror though! I can’t bring myself to throw them away as they look great with just one coat and even better with two. Also, I haven’t been able to find anything like them. They’re not glossy, just shiny. I wish I bought the other colours at the time, I think there was purple and pink.
I have Foil which is silver and Reflection which is blue.

Orly
I received this in Glamour magazine and it is the first time I have used Orly. I love the colour and the formula so I’ll probably buy more. I chose this colour as it is a go-with-everything nude.

Natural Collection
This is a Boots brand and I think it might have been the cheapest brand before MUA came along.
I bought Antique Coral as coral was the trend at the time and this was the one I liked the best. It’s the right shade for me and it has a touch of shimmer. I also have Sugar Mouse which is a pearlescent white which I bought to french tip my nails – I think it looks better on my skin tone than stark white.
The Natural Collection is my go-to brand for subtle colours that will not break the bank. Several coats are required but I don’t mind, especially as the two I chose are so pretty!

Maybelline
My first experience with Maybelline was a pretty pink which was quite frankly, rubbish! Neither my friend nor I could make it work so it went in the bin. This didn’t make me lose faith however, as I decided to give this Express Finish Diamonds polish a go. I bought it as I needed to do something with my nails but I didn’t want to wear too much colour. It adds a nice sparkle to my nails!
