This look inspired by Margaux’s make-up from episode one of The Face USA.  She went for dramatically dark brows and dark glossy lips.

I applied Bobbi Brown Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation SPF12 in Golden 6 all over my face including my eyelids and under my eyes. I then used a little blush – No7 Natural Blush Tint Powder in Spice on my cheeks which I then toned down by brushing some foundation over the top of it.

I used Carbon (nearly black) in my HD Brows palette (no I haven’t run out of the other two colours – the palette is not handbag proof) and the angled brush on my Bella Pierre dual brush to fill in and thicken my brows.

I scribbled some Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl waterproof eyeliner in Superblack on to the back of my hand and used my Ruby & Millie angled eye brush (medium firm bristles) to apply the liner from the back of my hand to two-thirds of my upper lash line, as close to the lashes as possible, and a little under the lower lash line.  I use this technique to really control the amount of colour used.  I then used my Ruby & Millie eye brush to blend the kohl into the lashline.  This look is not about the eyes so the liner cannot be too strong.

I filled in my lips using Barry M Super Soft Eye Crayon in No.1 (black) blotted, then applied Revlon Colorburst lipgloss in Embellished over the top to make an intensely dark purple colour.

I like this look as you don’t often see the middle of the face so plain with the brows and lips emphasised.
