When I saw the 27 January 2014 Look Magazine cover I just had to try this look! I love how Cara Delevingne’s face is flawless and completely pared back except for her brows and two-tone lips. Here’s what I did:
Cara has a dewy, youthful looks so I used creamy products and no powder. I dabbed on Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup in 18 Sand where I needed the coverage across my cheeks, nose, chin and just above the brows using the provided sponge. I then turned the sponge over and blended the makeup. I then used my Bobbi Brown cream blending brush to apply my Clinique All About Eyes Concealer in 08 Deep Honey under my eyes and on the darker parts of my eyelids. I then blended this in with my fingers. On my cheeks I’m wearing the bronzing cream from my e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream compact, which I applied with my No7 foundation brush and blended in with my fingers.
The eyes are pared back and bright. Using my No7 eyeshadow brush, I applied the pink-gold/pale brown shimmery colour from my Sleek Storm 578 palette to my eye lids and into the corner of my eye. Using the same brush, I applied the matte pale brown/dark taupe colour all over my eyelids up to my brows and blended. I then used my KIKO Ultimate Pen long wear eyeliner to draw a very thin line of top liner across most of the lashline, with a little flick on the outer edges, to make my lashes look thicker. I then applied Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Flared mascara in Very Black to the top and bottom lashes. I defined my brows using Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Mahogany 10 and the angled liner on my Bella Pierre dual brush.
Using my Max Factor Colour Elixir lip liner in 10 Red Rush I filled in my lips. I then applied Max Factor Colour Elixir lip colour in Ruby Tuesday 715 straight from the tube, blotted with tissue, the applied another coat. I then used my Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 eyeliner and eyeshadow in brown to darken the outer edges of my lips, top and bottom. I blended the colours using the lip brush end of my Bella Pierre dual brush. Voila!
