I decided to give the MUA Luxe glitter palette in Twilight a go after succeeding with the Rock Chic palette. Why princess? Because this pretty combination is very girly!
The preparation is the same as for my Dark Disco Glitter Party Eyes:
I prepared the eye area by using Bobbi Brown Corrector in Dark Bisque applied with my Bobbi Brown Cream Blending Brush. I then applied Kiko Make Up Milano Infinity Eyeshadow to my lids up to my brows using my No7 eyeshadow brush. Using the same brush I applied MAC eyeshadow in Expensive Pink (Veluxe Pearl) to my lids and into the crease. I defined my brows using the Dark Brown colour in my HD Brows Foxy Palette and my Bare Minerals Angled Liner brush. I used the Nude colour to highlight under my brows using my Models Own shading brush. I blended all the colours using my No7 eyeshadow brush. I set the corrector with my Bobbi Brown Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation SPF12 in Golden 6. I lined my waterline with Lancôme le Crayon Khol in 01 Noir.
This time I lined all around my eyes (with a wing) using my MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and MAC brush 209 to create a base for the glitter. After the eyeliner had fully dried, using the Ruby & Millie angled eye brush, I began by dabbing the pink colour from the glitter palette to the inner corners of my eyes and part of the way along the top and bottom lash lines, ensuring that the glitter covered the eyeliner only. I then applied the lilac colour in the same way across the middle of the top and bottom lashlines and finally applied the fuchsia glitter to the outer corners. I them went back and blended the colours into each other using the same brush.
I finished by applying two coats of Maybelline the Colossal Volum’ Express Cat Eyes Mascara in Wild Black to my top and bottom lashes. As with the Dark Disco Glitter Party Eyes, try not to get glitter so high up the lid that it imprints in the crease (like I did – you can see the effect it has on the eyeshadow). MUA advise that thin layers of glitter application followed by translucent powder should stop this. When I tried this I just got into a mess (worse than this one) – maybe you’ll have better luck!
I would probably wear this with a lilac-pink lipstick and gloss – Bobbi Brown’s Rich Lip Colour in Lilac and/or Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lipgloss in either Lilac Sugar or Ruby Sugar. If not, I might pick a pink/nude lipstick such as Bobbi Brown Cocoa and Bobbi Brown Nude lipgloss. I wouldn’t go dark on the lips as that’s not princessey!
Unfortunately Ruby & Millie has been discontinued.
