I wore this on my birthday to go with a yellow dress. I don’t have an in-focus full-face photo with my eyes open. The focus should be on the eyes anyway!
The key products are:
- The lighter gold colour from my Lancôme Palette Liberte 01 Indigo Royante eyeshadow palette
- The shimmery dark grey/nearly black colour from my Sleek eyeshadow palette in Original 594
- Lancome Le Crayon Khol in 01 Noir
- Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara in Black
- MAC brush 239
- MAC brush 219
- The darker colours in the Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in Gold Bronze
- Bobbi Brown lip liner in Cocoa
- Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Cocoa 31
- Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Nude 8
This is a great party look – perfect for New Year’s Eve!

The Lancôme eye palette is no longer available (limited edition ages ago!)

Love the colours and that lip colour is fab on you. One constructive criticism, is keep blending! Like blend the slate/gold a bit more and blend out of your eye toward the brow bone, make it more like it disappears into your eye, if that makes sense?

Thanks! Yeah, I’m pretty bad at blending – I just slap my make-up on, run out of the house and hope for the best. No patience and always late – bad combo! Any good blending brushes you could recommend? It would be an incentive!

To be honest, I use the e.l.f standard range and Studio range eye brushes and they do a fab job! The e.l.f brushes are really good, although the Studio face ones are infinitely better than the standard face ones – the standard line is rubbish for facial brushes but good for eye brushes 🙂 Stick to studio if you have a tiny bit more cash to splash!
