Mulled wine is a particularly Christmassy scent and sight, and warming, comforting vanilla usually pops up too.
It’s a surprisingly wearable way to rock burgundy eyeshadow.
I prepared the eye area by applying Kiko Make Up Milano eyeshaow in 204, a matte warm sand colour, all over my lids up to my brows.
I followed by applying the shimmery pale gold/champagne colour from my Sleek Original eyeshadow palette to the inner and outer corners of my eyelids and the outer edged of my lower lashline using my MAC 219 brush.
Then using my MAC 239 brush, I applied the burgundy colour from my Sleek eyeshadow palette in Chaos to the middle of my lids and the outer edge, blending with the gold. I also applied some all the way under the lashline.
There was a little too much red under the lashline so using my MAC 219 brush I blended in some more gold all along the lower lashline so it looked a bit like that limited edition J2O drink with the gold sparkle!
I then blended the colours on my lids together using my soft and fluffy No7 Eyeshadow Blend and Contour brush.
I filled in my brows using the dark brown colour from my HD Brows Foxy palette and my Bare Minerals (firm) angled liner brush. I highlighted the brow bone using the nude colour from the same palette and my Ruby & Millie eye brush.
I finished my eyes with one coat of Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Flared mascara in Very Black on the top and bottom lashes.
For my lips I used Seventeen lip liner pencil in Claret all over my lips and Seventeen Ultimate Volume lipgloss in Very Berry.
Unfortunately the Sleek Chaos eye shadow palette and Seventeen lip produces are longer available (shows how often I wear them!).
