I decided I would do a few Christmas inspired posts. As you may have read, I’ve had a bit of trouble with my glitter but I will push on!
This look was inspired by the song “We Three Kings”. I can’t get it out of my head at the moment!
This is all about royal colours- yellow gold and purple, with deep ruby (berry!) on my lips.
I began with Kiko Make Up Milano eyeshadow all over my lids and up to the brows in 204 using my Ruby & Millie eye brush. Then using my MAC brush 219, I lined my lower lashline with the matte purple colour in the Sleek Curacao 656 eyeshadow palette. Then, using my MAC 239 brush I applied the matte canary yellow colour to my eyelids and built up the colour as much as I could. Finally, using my MAC 219 brush, I applied the matte purple colour to the crease of my eyelids down to the first line I drew.
This didn’t look Christmas or royal enough so I used my MAC 239 brush to dab on some metallic gold over the yellow – L’Oreal Color Appeal eyeshadow in 151 Pure Gold. I then used my MAC 219 brush to go over the purple lines with the metallic purple colour in the Sleek Original 594 eyeshadow palette.
For my brows I used my HD Brows palette in Foxy. I highlighted under my brow using the nude colour and filled in my brows using a mixture of warm brown and dark brown.
I applied one coat of Maybelline the Colossal Volum’ Express Cat Eyes Mascara in Wild Black to my top and bottom lashes. I then applied the lilac glitter from my MUA Luxe Glitter Eye Palette in Twilight to my lashes using a sponge applicator, to add dazzle!
I finished with one coat of Maybelline Super Stay 10 Hour Tint Gloss in Timeless Plum 380 on my lips.
I really like the yellow against my brown eyes. I thought it would look odd but I am converted!

Unfortunately the Sleek Curacao palette is no longer available.
