Now, I was probably one of the last people on the planet to discover Lancôme’s Juicy Tubes but once I did, I became hooked. These were the best lipglosses for me. Unfortunately, as you will probably already know, they have been discontinued – utter disaster!
Cerise is the orange colour and you can get a mini tube of this in the Lancôme Juicy Tube gift set which I’ve seen in quite a few department stores and in Boots.
I love this because on me, it looks like a dark clear gloss. I know that sounds bizarre but you’ll see what I mean when I show you the other colour I have. Instead of depositing colour or a stain, it emphasises the natural lip colour.
I do like my orange glosses. Previously I’ve had Melon and Disco Melon which was Melon upgraded with glittery bits.
I tend to wear it when I’m wearing bright colours like green and yellow – clothing and eye make up! I wear it when I think pink lips will clash in a bad way, or if I’m in a fun orange mood rather than a pretty in pink mood.
The bits that look like glitter don’t come out like that, they just make the gloss extra reflective. The orange colour darkens the lighter part of my lips and makes the darker outline richer in colour. All of these things make my lips look really full which I love!
It has a perfumey scent which is not great but at least I’m not tempted to eat it!
It is incredibly thick and it is on the sticky side. The good thing about that is it stays on the lips for ages. This is the longest lasting gloss (that is only a gloss) I have used.
I like this product because it is fun and makes me feel young! It seems that this is an image Lancôme is trying to shake off which is a shame. The other glosses I have tried simply don’t have the same effect or the staying power.
I suggest that the same formula is put into more sophisticated packaging. How about that?
