The first time I did this look it was because I was wearing a fairly plain outfit and I wanted to wear pink eyeshadow to brighten it up but I wasn’t brave enough! I went for metallic orange with a pink accent and was pleasantly surprised. I call this fruit salad as it reminds me of the sweets!
I swept some Bare Minerals Mineral Veil over my face using my Flawless Face brush to get rid of shine. Using my Bobbi Brown Cream Blending concealer brush, I applied Bobbi Brown corrector in Dark Bisque under my eyes and to my eyelids, followed by Bobbi Brown creamy concealer in Golden. I finished with Bobbi Brown loose powder in Pale Yellow, applied with my travel sized Ruby & Millie blusher brush.
Using my Ruby & Millie travel sized eye brush, I applied the metallic orange colour from the Sleek Curacao 656 eyeshadow palette to my eyelids, beginning in the inner corner and blending out over two thirds of my eyelids and up to the crease. From the same palette using the same brush, I applied the metallic pink colour to the outer third up to the crease with some overlap on the orange. I then blended the colours using my No7 eyeshadow brush. I kept applying and blending each colour this way until I was happy with the colour density. I then applied the pale yellow-gold from Sleek Storm 578 eyeshadow palette from the crease up to my eyebrows using another No7 eyeshadow brush. I blended all of the colours together to soften the look.
I applied one coat of Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Flared mascara in black to both my top and bottom lashes. I lined the lower waterline using Lancome Le Crayon Khol in 01 Noir. I finished the eye area by defining my eyebrows using my short stiff bristled angled brush and Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Mahogany 10.
Originally I didn’t use topliner so I thought I’d give it a go this time around. Using MAC brush 209 I lined the upper lashline with MAC fluidline in Blacktrack. I really can’t decide which I prefer!
