This is inspired by one of the three very wearable Halloween looks from last Friday’s Evening Standard Magazine. I have always wondered if I could ever wear red eyeshadow and now I’m hooked!
I started by moisturising my lips with Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla and Macadamia.
I then applied Bobbi Brown corrector in dark peach on my chin as it is much darker than the rest of my face (as is my forehead but I forgot to colour correct it!) using my No7 foundation brush. Using the same brush I applied Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation SPF15 foundation in Golden 6 all over my face. I used my EcoTools powder brush to set the foundation with Bobbi Brown Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation SPF 12 in Honey 5.
Using my Bobbi Brown Cream Blending concealer brush I applied Bobbi Brown corrector in dark bisque under my eyes and on my eyelids and followed this with Bobbi Brown concealer in Golden. I set the concealer with Bobbi Brown loose powder in pale yellow using my Ruby & Millie travel sized blusher brush.
To contour my cheeks I used Bare Minerals Warmth to add depth, using with my travel sized Clinique blusher brush and I highlighted using the lighter tones in my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Nectar, using my Models Own (travel sized) powder brush.
Using MAC brush 239, I applied a line of the red colour in the Sleek Chaos 577 eyeshadow palette underneath my lower lash line. I gradually built up the colour until I was happy with the intensity. I then blended it using MAC brush 219. Along the top of my lash line I used my Models Own blending brush to line my upper lids with the brown-taupe colour from the Sleek Bohemian 604 eyeshadow palette and softened the line by blending with the same brush. To finish my eyes I applied two coats of Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara Flared in black to my top lashes and one coat to my bottom lashes.
For my eyebrows, I applied Vaseline with fingers to shape my brows then using my firm, short bristled angled brush I defined my eyebrows with Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Mahogany 10.
To finish, I filled in my lips using No7 Perfect Lips Pencil in Nude 20.
Happy Halloween!

Unfortunately the following are no longer available:
- Anything by Ruby & Millie – it has been discontinued.
- No7 Perfect Lips Pencil is now called No7 Precision Lips Pencil.
- Sleek eyeshadow palettes in Chaos and Bohemian as they were limited edition. The other Sleek eyeshadow palettes have similar colours.
- Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Last Foundation SPF 15 in Golden 6 – I believe this has been replaced with Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15.
